Job summary

American Airlines, Inc. is seeking an Analyst/Sr Analyst for Network Planning Models and Systems in Fort Worth, TX.

You will lead development of planning tools, collaborate with IT and OR teams, and translate business needs into robust analytic solutions to support network decisions. The role emphasizes forecasting, optimization, and data-driven decision support, with opportunities to work across Network Planning, Revenue Management, and IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, OR, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
• 2–5 years of analytics, modeling, data science, or related field
• Experience with SQL and Python for data analysis
• Experience performing quantitative analysis and supporting business decisions

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and evolution of network planning tools and systems with IT to define priorities and translate business needs into technical requirements
• Collaborate with Operations Research teams on forecasting, simulation, and optimization models
• Partner with stakeholders to evaluate scenarios, quantify tradeoffs, and inform network and scheduling decisions
• Perform deep-dive data analyses to validate model outputs and assess performance
• Design, develop, and maintain analytical solutions including data pipelines and automation workflows
• Leverage SQL, Python, and modern data platforms to improve efficiency and scalability
• Ensure reliability and data integrity through testing and validation
• Communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
