Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Network Perimeter Security Engineer to design, implement, and operate enterprise perimeter security across the network. You will lead security initiatives, ensure policy compliance, and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced, 24x7 environment.

The role requires deep expertise in firewalls, IDS/IPS, DDoS mitigation, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), with hands-on experience across large-scale networks and security operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, IT, Computer Science, or Engineering; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of information technology experience.
• Minimum 5 years of information security experience.
• Hands-on experience with security systems including firewalls, IDS/IPS, log management, etc.
• Experience with enterprise firewall platforms (Cisco/ FortiGate/ Checkpoint/ Juniper/ Palo Alto).
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and VPN/LAN/WAN.
• Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• IAM and related protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID).
• Experience with security monitoring tools and vulnerability management.
• On-call rotation and 24x7 support.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute network security architecture strategy and roadmaps.
• Lead high-impact security initiatives as SME in network security.
• Design, implement, and operate perimeter security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, DDoS).
• Monitor threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies; suggest improvements.
• Monitor networks and logs using SIEM and endpoint security platforms.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory controls.
• Mentor junior staff and maintain security documentation.
• Provide after-hours support and incident response as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors for project execution and issue resolution.
