Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Network/Firewall Engineer to join our enterprise security team, responsible for configuring, maintaining, and monitoring LAN/WAN and internet segments to ensure high availability. You will design firewall policies, manage load balancing, enforce NAC/Wi‑Fi controls, and oversee ISE policy enforcement across hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• 5 years with a Bachelor's degree or 9 years with a HS Diploma.
• Strong experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls.
• Experience with NAC, wireless design and ISE policy enforcement.
• MDM/MAM experience with AirWatch/Workspace ONE and Intune.
• SIEM experience and familiarity with CDM program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support LAN, WAN, and Internet segments to meet needs.
• Monitor performance and availability, maintaining service uptime.
• Monitor and test website performance for availability and responsiveness.
• Design and manage firewall policies using Palo Alto platforms.
• Configure F5 load balancing and application delivery for HA.
• Implement NAC and WLAN solutions to enforce endpoint security.
• Administer Cisco ISE for policy enforcement and device profiling.
• Support wireless network standards and infrastructure.
• Manage MDM/MAM with AirWatch Workspace ONE and Intune.
• Use Splunk for log aggregation, correlation, and threat detection.
• Support SIEM operations, including alert triage and incident response.
• Support CDM program requirements and security compliance reporting.
• Maintain technical docs, SOPs, diagrams, and firewall rules.
