Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide round-the-clock incident response and maintain the stability of in-house information systems supporting the US BICES-X program.

You will monitor, maintain, and optimize Windows Server environments, VMware infrastructures, and related applications while implementing DISA STIGs and security updates in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in system administration.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance.
• US citizenship required.
• Experience in data center operations, server hardware, Windows OS, web servers, VDI, VMware, networking, storage, monitoring, diagnostics, performance tuning, load balancing, clustering, firewall rules, fail‑over.

Responsibilities

• Administer VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter appliances.
• Create and maintain detailed system documentation.
• Provide system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
• Maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing technology and evolve processes.
• Deploy security policies and updates to maintain compliance with DISA security policies (STIGs, IAVAs, etc.).
• Develop scripts (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) for recurring tasks, automation, and metrics collection.
• Administer Microsoft Active Directory environments, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Exchange 2010/2016, SharePoint 2013/2016, Microsoft SQL 2012/2014/2016.
• Design and deploy group policy, DNS configuration, Sites and Services, SCCM, software upgrades, Windows 10 maintenance, OS updates.
• Engage in special projects as assigned.
