Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Systems Administrator for the US BICES-X program. You will manage Windows infrastructure, deploy security policies, maintain documentation, and support a cross-functional, fast-paced team on-site at Camp Smith, HI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
• Experience Windows infrastructure services (DHCP, DNS, Authentication, Active Directory, connectivity troubleshooting).
• Understanding of Agile, ITIL, DevOps practices.
• Experience with infrastructure including data center operations, server hardware, OS (Windows, Linux), web servers, databases, virtualization, networking, storage, monitoring.
• Must meet DoW 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire.
• Additional specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
• Deploys security policies and updates to maintain DISA compliance (STIGs, IAVAs).
• Creates and maintains detailed system documentation.
• Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
• Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
• Develops and monitors policies for allocation of computing resources.
• Develops and implements testing strategies and documents results.
• Provides training to end-users and guidance to staff.
• Maintains knowledge of new technologies and evolves processes.
• Develops scripts (PowerShell, VBScript) to automate tasks.
• Deploy OS updates via MECM.
• Participates in special projects and produces monthly network statistics.
• Maintain DHCP scopes and options; manage print services across servers.
• May require evenings, weekends, and on-call.
