Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a seasoned IT professional for the US BICES-X program. You will maintain secure Windows and Linux infrastructure, ensuring availability and compliance with DoD standards while supporting DoW intelligence information sharing globally.

You will mentor a small team, handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment, and participate in deployments to data centers worldwide. A TS/SCI clearance and ITIL v4 Foundation are required within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the field.
• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.
• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
• Experience with Windows infrastructure services (DHCP, DNS, Authentication, Active Directory, connectivity troubleshooting).
• Familiarity with Agile, ITIL, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with data center operations, server hardware, operating systems, virtualization, networking, storage, and monitoring.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• DoW 8570 requirements and eligibility for IAT level II access; ITIL V4 Foundation within six months.
• Additional certifications may be required depending on job assignment.

With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. Position affords the opportunity to mentor others and grow professionally both on your own and as part of a team. As part of the Service Center West Operations Team, you’ll be charged with maintaining service availability levels for multiple servers located in main data centers and remote locations across the globe.

Responsibilities

• Manages the functionality, efficiency, and security of infrastructure providing critical services to customers across the globe in the air, on land, and at sea.
• Apply DISA STIG settings and patch OS/applications as required.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience is required.
• Bachelor's Degree (may substitute additional years of experience)
• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
• Experience Windows infrastructure services (DHCP, DNS. Authentication, Active Directory, and connectivity troubleshooting) required.
• Understanding of Agile, ITIL, DevOps practices.
• Experience with infrastructure including but not limited to data center operations, server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), web servers, databases, virtualization (VMware), networking, storage, monitoring, etc.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• May be required to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.
• Must meet DoW 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
• Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required.

• Mastery of the PowerShell scripting language.
• Experience automating and configuring systems using Desired State Configuration (DSC).
