Job summary

RTX is seeking a Junior Network Administrator (P1) in Tucson, AZ to support classified network infrastructure onsite. The role requires an active US Secret clearance and US citizenship.

You will install, maintain, and monitor voice and data networks, gain hands-on Cisco networking experience, and pursue Security+/CCNA certifications provided by Raytheon. Ideal candidates have less than 2 years of related IT experience or a 4-year equivalent, with a strong willingness to learn in a high-security

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university/bachelor's degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent of 4 years of relevant Network/IT Systems Administration experience.
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Active in-scope, transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operation of data and voice networks and perform hardware/software installation or reconfiguration.
• Develop technical expertise across network hardware/software interconnection and interfacing.
• Work with network management software platforms.
• Propose solutions to optimize cost, redundancy, and uptime.
• Prepare or develop network documentation and diagrams.
• Monitor and analyze networks for short/long-range planning and coordinate third-party maintenance.
