Job summary

Our client, a prestigious investment firm, seeks a Network Operations Engineer to lead day-to-day management and modernization of its multi-site network. You will report to the Director of Infrastructure and Security, work in a Cisco-heavy environment, and push the network toward a hybrid, multi-vendor future.

You’ll collaborate with InfoSec, Systems, and Helpdesk on firm-wide initiatives, shaping everything from edge connectivity to Wi‑Fi.

Qualifications

• 7-8 years hands-on Cisco/network infrastructure experience.
• Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols, ACLs, 802.1x, VXLAN, VOIP.
• Experience with network management and performance tools (SolarWinds or similar).
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, JIRA).
• Strong documentation and communication skills — this team shares knowledge, not silos.
• A self-starter who thrives on a small, close-knit team.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.

Responsibilities

Our client, a prestigious investment firm managing assets for one of the world's most respected philanthropic organizations, is looking for a Network Operations Engineer to lead the day-to-day management and modernization of its multi-site network.

The Role

This is real ownership. You'll report to the Director of Infrastructure and Security, run a Cisco-heavy environment end to end, and drive its evolution toward a hybrid, multi-vendor future. No layers of bureaucracy, no ticket-queue-only work. You'll partner directly with InfoSec, Systems, and Helpdesk on firm-wide initiatives, and your fingerprints will be on everything from the internet edge to the Wi‑Fi.

The Environment

• Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switching/routing
• BGP-based EVPN / Cisco NDFC
• BGP internet edge and SD-WAN
• Cisco/Meraki Wi‑Fi

What You'll Need
