Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Lead Network Modeler to spearhead the development and application of network optimization models to support strategic supply chain decisions. This hands-on role requires building large, complex models and translating business questions into actionable recommendations.

You will work with senior leaders to establish modeling best practices, handle imperfect data, and balance speed with precision while communicating assumptions and tradeoffs clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Analytics, or related quantitative field; Master’s preferred.
• Extensive hands-on experience using commercial network optimization software to build large, complex supply chain models.
• Experience with greenfield analysis, network design studies, and strategic network optimization.
• Strong business acumen and ability to work with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build large, complex network optimization models using commercial software for network design and strategic studies.
• Translate business questions into modeling approaches that solve the actual business problems.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand objectives, requirements, constraints, and decision criteria.
• Identify data sources, gather and validate data, and close gaps with business/technical partners.
• Balance speed and precision by developing quick directional models when needed.
• Communicate assumptions, limitations, methodology, results, and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.
• Model complex supply chain economics including transportation, facilities, labor, inventory, and capacity.
• Establish modeling best practices and coach other modelers.
