Job summary

X-energy LLC in Maryland seeks a Senior Network Engineer to lead design, deployment, and management of hybrid on‑premises and cloud IaaS networks across multi‑site environments. You will implement secure, scalable infrastructure and ensure robust performance for enterprise applications and HPC workloads.

You will work with VPNs, routers, firewalls, virtualization, and SD‑WAN, align with NIST/CIS baselines, and coordinate with security and operations teams to sustain availability and resiliency.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise network and virtual infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with on-premises IaaS and CSP integrations.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-171/800-53 or CIS benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage hybrid on-premises and cloud IaaS networks across multi-site environments.
• Ensure secure, scalable infrastructure and robust performance for enterprise applications and HPC workloads.
• Implement and maintain security, availability, and monitoring for network and virtualization platforms.
• Coordinate with security and operations teams to sustain continuous availability and resiliency.
• Research and apply vendor deployment guides to improve security and scalability.
• Take ownership of deployment, release management, and ongoing optimization.
