Job summary

IP Pathways LLC is seeking a Network Escalation Engineer to join our Advanced Technical Services team. You will own escalated network issues, drive customer satisfaction, and mentor junior engineers while aligning with hybrid cloud implementations.

The role requires strong communication, hands-on network engineering expertise, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset. You will work with cross-functional teams to design and optimize client networks across on-premises and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in network administration and engineering.
• Associate's degree or relevant certifications (such as CCNA) preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in 1–2 scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python, is a huge plus.
• Experience with wireless technologies (Aruba, Meraki, Mikrotik) and routing/switching (Cisco/Arista/Aruba/Meraki/Mikrotik) is highly favored.
• Knowledge of firewalls (Cisco/Meraki/Palo Alto/FortiGate) and network security concepts.
• Familiarity with Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, and Cisco CUCM; protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP; load balancers Kemp/F5/Peplink.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues for customer environments.
• Perform remote and on-site support and some implementation for customer environments.
• Support onboarding and management of client infrastructure across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Configure, implement, and manage network devices and applications in client on-premises and cloud spaces.
• Develop and improve automation, orchestration, and monitoring processes to increase efficiency.
• Document processes and contribute to process improvements for high-quality service.
• Conduct site surveys to assess and design client environments and the effectiveness of solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design and implementation projects.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to fellow engineers.
