Job summary

The State of Oklahoma, through OMES, seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise WAN and wireless mesh networks in an on-site capacity in Oklahoma City. The role focuses on WAN technologies, SD-WAN, and architectural standards across a distributed environment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of hands-on experience, expertise in routing and security, and strong collaboration skills. On-call rotation and production support are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information services, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience focusing on WAN.
• Experience with SD-WAN platforms and carrier-grade connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise WAN solutions (MPLS, broadband, LTE/5G, SD-WAN).
• Lead deployment and optimization of wireless mesh networks with RF planning and failover.
• Collaborate with architects to shape standards and reference architectures.
• Maintain routing technologies (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and secure remote access.
• Provide Tier 3/4 escalation support and participate in on-call rotations.
