Job summary

GDIT seeks a Senior Network Engineer to ensure stability and efficient operation of in-house information systems supporting the US BICES-X program. You will monitor, maintain, and optimize networked systems and work on a cross-functional, fast-paced team to resolve issues and maximize IT investments.

The role requires a Secret clearance, 5+ years of network engineering experience, CCNA, and hands-on experience with firewalls, NSX, and data-center networking.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related Network Engineering experience.
• Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance, TS, SCI Preferred
• BA/BS degree – may substitute additional years of experience
• Must possess a completed CCNA certification.
• Must meet DOW 8140 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access within six months of hire.
• Knowledge and experience with data center networking.
• Must have knowledge and experience in Firewalls, Cisco ISE, and NSX.

Responsibilities

• Support for Coalition Integration Lab’s engineering and testing requirements.
• Support and Deployment for US BICES bi-lat systems and networking.
• Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth operation of software and systems.
• Define business requirements and systems goals with stakeholders.
• Designs and defines network architecture for new or existing computer systems.
• Performs complex network development and design work.
• Participates in upgrading operating systems and design of network enhancements.
• Provides input for documentation on new or existing networks.
• Develops and conducts tests to ensure networks meet requirements.
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves network problems.
• Provides training and technical guidance.
