• Experience designing and implementing complex network architectures.
• Ability to troubleshoot voice, data and video networks across multiple sites.
• Strong collaboration with IT peers, management, vendors and customers.
• Experience coordinating large projects with contractors and suppliers.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining network documentation and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Designs, plans and oversees the implementation of voice, data, and video networks to meet campus/system needs.
• Customizes design and installation per customer requirements within ITS standards.
• Troubleshoots network issues across remote locations including international links.
• Works with senior IT staff, management, vendors and customers to gather requirements and resolve problems.
• Participates in security procedures to mitigate intrusions and protect assets.
• Creates or updates network documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinates large, complex projects involving multiple staff and external partners.
• Notifies stakeholders about planned or unplanned outages with local and external entities.
• Conducts site surveys and captures customer requirements for design and deployment.
• Designs interconnection and integration strategies based on customer and backbone needs.
• Initiates tasks to ensure availability and reliability of services.
