Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Network Engineer in Maryland to transform technology for mission-critical government projects. You will design, implement, and maintain networks from architecture through operation, ensuring robust performance and security.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years of related experience, a TS/SCI w/Poly clearance, and a BS in a related field. The role offers a full-time schedule and onsite work in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Technical skills: LAN/CAN/WAN administration, end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures.
• Design solutions, integrate, configure, deploy, test and provide ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices, interfaces and methodologies.
• Implement network solutions to support server requirements including load-balancing, VPNs, firewall contexts, Traffic Shaping VoIP, GRE Tunneling, IPSec, IP Encryption, Media over IP, NAT where appropriate.
