Job summary

Antero Technology Services seeks a Network Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance to join our Enterprise Network Engineering Team in Maryland. You will design and deploy LAN/WAN networks, support Tier 3 operations, and contribute to security and reliability across our global enterprise.

You’ll work with Cisco and other vendors, implement automation, and develop technical documentation while mentoring teammates and leading projects to improve capacity, performance, and resilience.

Qualifications

• Must hold TS/SCI;CI Poly.
• 8570 IAT Level II Certification (typically Security+)
• Must have at least one CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIP-ENT or similar network certification
• High School+10years; Bachelor’s+8; Master’s+6
• Experience with WAN circuit technologies (T1; DS3; OC-3; OC-12; OC-192)
• Knowledge of routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP; QoS; MPLS
• Knowledge of Hierarchical & Multi-layer network design
• Knowledge of SNMP and system logging for monitoring
• Knowledge of Cisco Voice and Conferencing technologies
• Experience with KG-175A/D encryptors
• Engaging communications style with customers and teams

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
• Assist in design and implementation of network systems, tools, hardware, and software
• Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g., access authentication and disaster recovery)
• Assess network utilization: suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
• Perform Tier 3 packet capture analysis and troubleshooting of performance issues
• Participate in resolving network outages and provide After Action Reports (AARs) upon resolution
• Use Putty, SMC, GEM, Splunk, Wireshark, HPNA, HP NNMi, Netscout, and various other tools to manage infrastructure
• Participate in engineering projects or upgrades when needed
• Assist in the development of network technical documentation, policies, and procedures
• Interface with vendors to ensure proper performance of tools and software packages
