This is an opportunity to join a world-class high-frequency trading firm building and operating some of the fastest and most sophisticated networks in financial markets.

Within this role, you will work alongside elite engineers designing, automating, and operating highly optimised networks that power global trading systems. The environment is deeply technical, extremely fast-paced, and rewards engineers who enjoy solving complex problems at scale.

They are now hiring two senior network engineers in Chicago, and compensation is open-ended!

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement low-latency, high-performance network architectures supporting trading infrastructure.
• Build and automate large-scale networks using modern Python-driven automation frameworks.
• Work across network design, implementation, optimisation, and production support.
• Develop tooling to monitor and analyse network performance across trading infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across routing, switching, and multicast environments.
• Collaborate closely with trading, systems, and infrastructure teams to optimise network performance.
• Work with advanced telemetry and analytics platforms to analyse traffic behaviour and latency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of network reliability, performance, and automation.

Technical Environment:

• Cisco, Arista, Mellanox / NVIDIA networking platforms
• Large-scale data centre and global network infrastructure
• MPLS, BGP, Multicast
• Python automation frameworks
• Linux-based infrastructure
• Observability and analytics platforms including Splunk, Grafana, InfluxDB
• Database systems including MySQL and PostgreSQL

Skills / Must Have:

• Expert-level networking knowledge (CCIE or JNCIE level expertise).
• Experience designing and operating large-scale networks (not SMB environments).
• Deep understanding of BGP, MPLS, or Multicast networking.
• Strong automation experience using Python.
• Experience with Cisco, Arista, or Mellanox/NVIDIA switching platforms.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge.Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or InfluxDB.
• Ability to operate in high-performance, mission-critic;;;al environments.
