Title: Lead Low Latency Network Engineer
Location: Chicago / New York (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to $750,000 TC (Flexible on experience)
We're partnering with a leading high-frequency trading firm to hire a Senior Network Engineer to design, build, and support the next generation of low-latency network infrastructure powering global trading operations.
Working alongside a world-class engineering team, you'll play a key role in delivering scalable, high-performance networks that underpin mission-critical systems across multiple international locations.
What you'll be doing
Design, deploy and optimise large-scale data centre and enterprise networks.
Improve network performance, scalability and resilience.
Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 networking issues.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams supporting performance-critical environments.
Drive automation and continuous improvement across the network estate.
What we're looking for
Significant experience designing and supporting large-scale network environments.
Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, multicast, TCP/IP and modern data centre networking.
Experience with Arista, Cisco, Juniper or similar enterprise networking platforms.
Background in network architecture, capacity planning and infrastructure design.
Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump.
Experience with Linux networking and automation using Python, Ansible or similar.
