Job summary

Venteon in Detroit, MI is seeking a Network Engineer to oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure including network, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, cybersecurity, backup, identity, and voice systems.

You will design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure; manage LAN/WAN, VPN, VLANs, firewalls; administer Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP; monitor, troubleshoot, and lead DR efforts; mentor Help Desk staff and coordinate with vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT or networking.
• 5+ years of enterprise IT experience with networking, servers, storage, and security.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Experience in regulated environments and security/compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise network, server, storage, virtualization, cloud, and data center infrastructure.
• Manage LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, and network security.
• Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and security; troubleshoot complex issues.
• Lead backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to Help Desk and IT staff.
