Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a seasoned Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain complex LAN/WAN infrastructures with emphasis on secure VPNs and Cisco platforms.

You will work on routing, switching, and firewall configurations on secure environments. Required 8–10+ years of related experience, TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph, and DoD 8570.01 certifications; CCNP and F5 credentials are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience: 8-10+ years of related experience
• Certifications: DoD 8570.01, Cisco CCNP (active) required; CCNA/CCNP Enterprise/Security, F5 certs preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain complex LAN/WAN infrastructures, including routing and switching
• Configure and administer Cisco routers, switches, secure firewalls, and ISE for identity-based access control
• Ensure network security per STIG/NIST and proper backup and recovery processes
• Install, configure, and manage F5 BIG-IP systems for fast, available, and secure applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document network designs with Visio; mentor when needed
