Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize the DHMS program's network infrastructure. You will work with IT teams and stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance voice, data, and wireless networks.

The role requires 5-7 years of network engineering/administration experience, hands-on Cisco/Juniper gear, and proficiency with Wireshark and SDN concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of network engineering/administration experience.
• Strong understanding of network principles; hands-on with Cisco/Juniper equipment.
• Proficient in network configuration and troubleshooting with Wireshark.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, manages, and optimizes network infrastructure within the DHMS program.
• Develop policies, troubleshoot issues, ensure compliance with DHMS IT policies.
• Analyze and design voice, LAN/WAN, wireless networks and network management systems.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of testing methods, processes, tools (e.g., Wireshark).
• Apply experience with SDN, network assessments, automated configurations, documentation.
