Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize DHMS program network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. You will collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop policies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with DHMS IT policies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• 5-7 years of experience in network engineering/administration.
• Strong understanding of network principles and prior experience with network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
• Proficient in network configuration and troubleshooting methods, processes, and tools (e.g., Wireshark).
• Capable of managing multiple tasks effectively with excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, manages, and optimizes network infrastructure within the DHMS program, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
• Works with IT teams and stakeholders to develop policies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with DHMS IT policies and best practices.
• Performs analysis and design of voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and network management systems to support voice and data services.
• Maintains up-to-date technical and practical knowledge of network system testing and analysis methods, processes, and tools (e.g., Wireshark).
• Applies experience with SDN architecture, network assessments, automated configurations, and documentation development.
• Maintains current knowledge of networking hardware, software, standards, best practices, and industry trends in network engineering and data security.
