Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company seeks a skilled network engineer to design, implement, and optimize DHMS program infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across voice, data, and wireless networks.

You will collaborate with IT teams to develop policies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure DHMS IT policy compliance, leveraging SDN and automated configurations. Knowledge of Cisco/Juniper gear and Wireshark is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of experience in network engineering/administration.
Strong understanding of network principles and experience with Cisco/Juniper equipment.
Proficient in network configuration and troubleshooting methods and tools (e.g., Wireshark).
Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Designs, implements, manages, and optimizes network infrastructure.
Works with IT teams and stakeholders to develop policies and troubleshoot issues.
Performs analysis and design of voice networks, LAN/WAN, wireless networks, and network management systems.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of testing methods, tools, and processes (e.g., Wireshark).
Applies experience with SDN, network assessments, automated configurations, and documentation development.
Keeps current knowledge of networking hardware, software, standards, and industry trends.
