About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing technology services company, is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their fully remote team. This is an exciting opportunity to design, implement, and manage robust, secure, and high-performance network infrastructures that support our client's global operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring network reliability, scalability, and security, working with a distributed team to tackle complex networking challenges. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with deep expertise in network architecture, protocols, and security best practices, who thrives in a remote-first environment. Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy complex network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues, and ensure optimal uptime.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including intrusion detection/prevention systems and access controls.
• Develop and document network architecture, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with system administrators and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of network services.
• Manage network capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network-related incidents and problems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies, trends, and security threats.
• Participate in on-call rotations for network support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and administration.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and network hardware.
• Proven experience with network security principles and technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
• Experience with cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure VNet) is a plus.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in remote teams.
• Relevant network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS) are highly desirable.
