Job summary

CarShield is seeking an experienced Network Engineer (Level 2/3) to design, implement, monitor, and manage local and wide area networks for maximum uptime. The role requires on-site work in St.

Peters, MO, 5 days a week, with a strong focus on routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud integration. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in networking, 2+ years in cloud engineering, proficiency with Cisco devices, IPsec, VLANs, and Terraform/Azure tooling, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of networking experience and 2+ years in cloud engineering.
• Strong knowledge of switches, routers, firewalls and VPN appliances (Cisco ASA/Firepower, Nexus, Catalyst).
• Experience with IPsec, VLANs, VRFs, load balancers, and network segmentation.
• Identity management, MFA, and AD integration with cloud apps (Azure AD).
• DevOps awareness with automation, ARM, Terraform, Azure PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
• SNMP monitoring concepts and security considerations.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing network solutions and improvements.
• Installing, configuring, and supporting routers, switches, VPN appliances, DNS and DHCP.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize LAN/WAN performance for uptime.
• Configure firewalls and security controls for efficiency and protection.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates and WAF administration.
• Report network status to stakeholders and document changes.
