A leading staffing agency is seeking an experienced Network Engineer/Senior Cloud Network Engineer in Columbia, SC. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud networking environments on AWS and Azure platforms. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in information security and network engineering, with strong expertise in cloud security. This position begins onsite and transitions to a hybrid work model after 90 days. Competitive contract duration of 12 months with possible extension.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in information security and network engineering.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experiencedNetwork Engineer / Senior Cloud Network Engineerto support cloud infrastructure and security initiatives. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud networking environments across AWS and Azure platforms.

The position requires strong expertise in cloud security architecture, automation, and enterprise networking, along with the ability to document configurations and support incident response activities.

Work Location Requirement

• Onsite required Monday–Friday for the first 90 days
• After 90 days, the role will transition to a hybrid schedule (2–3 days onsite per week)
• Candidate must be a current South Carolina resident

Required Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience ininformation security and network engineering
• 5+ years of experience designing and maintaining infrastructure inAWS and/or Azure
• Strong experience incloud security design, operations, and automation
• Hands-on experience with:
• Security documentation (tools, deployments, configurations)
• Incident reports and operational procedures
• Active AWS or Azure certification (mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Cloud Solutions Architect
• Palo Alto certifications (PCNSA / PCNSE)
• Experience with:
• Prisma Cloud, InfoBlox, ForeScout
• Palo Alto VM-Series and physical firewalls
• Firewall implementations in AWS and Azure environments
