Job summary

SunSoft Online seeks an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support the network infrastructure serving its CAD and regional emergency dispatch operations.

The engineer will manage Cisco Catalyst and Nexus environments, deploy Palo Alto firewalls across fire stations, improve BGP/OSPF resiliency, and maintain secure, highly available communications for critical public safety operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining large enterprise networks.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS and Cisco Nexus switches.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks NGFW and Panorama.
• Strong hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPsec VPN, NAT, and QoS.
• Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical network environments.
• Experience coordinating copper and fiber-optic cabling installations.
• Experience supervising a small technical team.
• CCNP, Palo Alto Networks NGFW Engineer, or comparable professional certification.
• Familiarity with Splunk, ServiceNow, Jira, and SolarWinds Orion.
