Job summary

Talentify is seeking an experienced IT Networking Specialist for onsite work in Manchester, NH. You will collaborate with systems, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to deliver improvements, lead infrastructure initiatives, and serve as a trusted networking resource for healthcare, education, childcare, and disability services.

The role emphasizes designing, implementing, and maintaining routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and VPN infrastructure across agency sites, with a strong focus on uptime

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of IT networking experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
• Experience with firewalls, switches, and Wi‑Fi configurations.
• VPN configuration and troubleshooting experience.
• Understanding of VLANs, STP, PoE, and other switching tech.
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN/IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and subnets.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and inventory platforms.
• Experience documenting networks with diagrams (Visio/Lucidchart).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and VPN infrastructure across locations.
• Manage and update agency firewall environment and IDS/IPS coordination.
• Troubleshoot VPN across site-to-site and remote access.
• Monitor network health and respond to alerts; proactively troubleshoot.
• Escalation point for networking issues from Help Desk; support VoIP across multi-carrier setup.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and cloud teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Keep documentation current: configurations, diagrams, assets, changes.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, disaster recovery, and long-term planning.
• Be a go-to resource for IT staff and knowledge sharing.
