Job summary

Easter Seals NH, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to collaborate with systems, cloud, and cybersecurity teams in Manchester, NH. You will design, implement, and maintain routing, switching, firewall, and VPN infrastructure across multiple agency sites.

Candidate must have at least five years in IT networking, a degree is preferred, and travel between NH, MA, and VT is required. Excellent customer service and a proactive problem-solving approach are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in IT networking required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • Ability to assess, document, and understand existing network configurations and equipment across various brands and platforms
  • Working knowledge of firewalls, switches, and Wi‑Fi solutions, including configuration and troubleshooting methods
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot VPN connections
  • Understanding of switching protocols (VLANs, trunking, STP, PoE)
  • Familiar with WAN, LAN, IP addressing/subnets, DHCP, DNS, OSPF, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAT, VoIP, remote access methods, and general network security
  • Experience with network monitoring, alerting, automation, configuration management, and inventory platforms
  • Experience with infrastructure documentation, including diagrams with Visio or Lucidchart
  • Experience with cloud networking concepts, particularly in Microsoft Azure
  • Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving orientation
  • Willingness to work after hours/weekends for maintenance windows
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between NH, MA, and VT

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and VPN infrastructure connecting all locations
  • Manage and maintain agency firewall environment including policy updates and firmware maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and maintain VPN connectivity across the Agency (site-to-site and remote access)
  • Monitor network health across sites with the agency monitoring platform; respond to alerts and troubleshoot issues
  • Serve as escalation point for networking issues not resolved by Help Desk (VoIP across multi-carrier environment)
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and cloud teams to remediate vulnerabilities on network equipment and Azure networking components
  • Keep network documentation current (configurations, diagrams, asset inventory, change records)
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, disaster recovery testing, and long-term network planning
  • Mentor IT staff on networking concepts and best practices
