Job summary
Peraton in Laurel, MD is seeking a Network Engineer to perform architecture, design, development, testing and implementation of network services for WAN, CAN, DCN, and SATCOM.
The role requires 100% on-site support M-F with a TS/SCI clearance. Experience with Cisco IOS/Junos, firewalls, routers/switches, and network troubleshooting is preferred. You will lead medium to large projects and provide technical guidance to the enterprise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering science, or related discipline with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Ten years in information technology with additional IT experience possible as substitute for degree.
- Experience in two to three areas: network troubleshooting, routers/switches, Cisco IOS/Junos OS, firewalls, hubs/bridges/gateways, packet analysis tools, database tools.
Responsibilities
- Consult in specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance on automated solutions for complex analyses and reports.
- Maintain network infrastructure standards including communication protocols.
- Complete medium to large complex projects and major project phases.
