Job summary

HCL Global Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced networking professional to design, install and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks. The role requires hands-on work with routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls and wireless access points, plus documentation of topology and IP schemes.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of proven experience, CCNA/JNCIA or equivalent certification, and the ability to coordinate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, WAPs and load balancers.
• Ability to document network architecture topology diagrams and IP schemes.
• CCNA or equivalent networking certification required.
• Experience with SD-WAN and cloud networking is a plus.
• 8+ years of networking experience in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Document, set up, configure, upgrade, manage and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues and ensure application performance and uptime.

Job description

Candidate must have in-depth, considerable knowledge and hands‑on experience understanding, documenting, and maintaining Network related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Considerable knowledge and working experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers (including the ability to document, set up, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot)
• Be capable of troubleshooting Network related infrastructure.
• Identifies and diagnoses system problems by using line monitors, diagnostic software, test equipment.
• Works closely with agency’s IT infrastructure suppliers and stakeholders to gather requirements, specifications, and configurations to assure they are accurate and up to date.
• Responsible for assisting in troubleshooting and resolving network issues impacting application performance and uptime.
• Assist in overseeing the installation, documentation, and upgrades of various agency facility data network infrastructure.
• Will oversee and collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SDWAN configurations.
• Must have the ability to provide documentation, network architecture topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls when required.
• Must have the ability to work independently on assigned projects.
• Must have minimally obtained an industry standard networking certification (example: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA- Junos, etc.)
