Job summary

Mbi Llc is seeking a seasoned network engineering professional to manage and optimize enterprise networks across LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud-connectivity. You will design, install, and troubleshoot complex networks, document topologies, and ensure security and resilience.

The role requires hands-on expertise with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge and hands-on working experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Hands-on experience setting up, configuring, upgrading, managing and troubleshooting routers/switches, and WAPs.
• Demonstrated and hands-on ability to design, install and troubleshoot local-area and wide-area enterprise networks.
• Direct hands-on engineering and design experience in networking.
• In-depth experience designing, installing and troubleshooting local-area and wide-area enterprise networks.
• Experience monitoring IT environments for compliance with information security, architecture policies, and standards.
• Experience creating repeatable, reliable, scalable network architectures with fault tolerance.
• Experience performance tuning, monitoring systems, metrics collection, and disaster recovery.
• Experience creating network diagrams using Visio, etc.
• Experience with networking features and protocols such as: ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, Etherchannel, HSRP, QoS, multicast, IPsec, etc.
• Experience working with SDWAN
• Experience with network topology related to Cloud
• Familiarity and experience working with cloud networking

Responsibilities

• Identify and diagnose system problems using line monitors, diagnostic software, and test equipment.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure suppliers and stakeholders to ensure up-to-date configurations.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving network issues impacting application performance and uptime.
• Oversee installation, documentation, and upgrades of agency facility data network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SDWAN configurations.
• Provide documentation, topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls as required.
• Work independently on assigned projects.

Job description

- Considerable knowledge and working experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers (including the ability to document, set up, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot)

- Be capable of troubleshooting Network related infrastructure.

- Identifies and diagnoses system problems by using line monitors, diagnostic software, test equipment.

- Works closely with agency’s IT infrastructure suppliers and stakeholders to gather requirements, specifications, and configurations to assure they are accurate and up to date.

- Responsible for assisting in troubleshooting and resolving network issues impacting application performance and uptime.

- Assist in overseeing the installation, documentation, and upgrades of various agency facility data network infrastructure.

- Will oversee and collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SDWAN configurations.

- Must have the ability to provide documentation, network architecture topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls when required.

- Must have the ability to work independently on assigned projects.

- Must have minimally obtained an industry standard networking certification (example: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA- Junos, etc.)
