Job summary

TransMarket Group in Chicago is seeking a seasoned network engineer to design and operate our high availability, low-latency trading network. You will implement solutions, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced financial environment.

The role requires CCIE, TCP/IP, multicast, firewall administration, and Python scripting for automation. On-site presence is required; we offer a generous profit-sharing program and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• CCIE certification and senior experience in production financial/trading networks.
• Experience with multicast and unicast routing protocols (TCP/IP, PIM, BGP, OSPF).
• Design, deployment and operation of modern IP multicast networks; high-availability concepts.
• Hands-on data center work and on-call rotation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Design network solutions for TMG’s automated trading infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain a high availability, low latency network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network and network related issues.
• Collaborate with other team members on new technology solutions.
• Work with other teams within the firm to address technological issues.
• Proactively monitor the network and provide capacity planning.
• Participate in the on-call support rotation and some weekend work.
• Mentor junior engineers from a technical perspective.
