Job summary

CarShield is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its Infrastructure team at the St. Peters, MO office. You will design, implement, monitor, and manage local and wide area networks to ensure secure, reliable connectivity for the business.

You will install and support network infrastructure, configure firewalls, VPNs, and SSL/TLS certs, monitor performance, and document activities for ITSM. On-site work and ongoing professional development are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of networking experience and 2+ years in cloud engineering.
• Strong understanding of switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN appliances.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, subnetting, IPsec, VLANs, routing, and load balancers.
• Experience with identity management and cloud integration (Azure AD, ADFS).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization, security, and observability.
• Scripting experience with Terraform, Azure RM, Azure PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
• SNMP monitoring, devices, MIBs/OIDs, and SNMP v2c/v3.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new network solutions for efficiency, security, and reliability.
• Install, configure, and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.
• Configure firewalls and VPNs to optimize performance and security.
• Manage web application firewalls and SSL/TLS certificates.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive durable resolutions.
• Document configurations, incidents, and resolutions in ITSM system.
• Communicate network status and risks to stakeholders.
