Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) seeks a senior Network Engineer IV to design, implement, support, and optimize complex network infrastructure across enterprise and launch environments. This role leads major initiatives, mentors engineers, and drives modernization through automation.

You will partner with engineering, cyber, and launch operations to ensure high availability and secure connectivity in a fast-paced, mission-critical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited college or university; four years of exempt work experience may satisfy degree
• Extensive experience leading implementation and optimization of enterprise-class networks
• Strong background designing solutions, executing complex network changes, and driving improvements across multi-site environments
• Senior escalation point for high-severity incidents and launch-critical network issues
• Experience owning major network projects from design through deployment and stabilization
• Ability to mentor Level 2 and 3 engineers
• Deep expertise in routing, switching, segmentation, QoS, multicast, and secure connectivity design
• Advanced hands-on with core routing/switching platforms, data center fabrics, high-throughput WAN, wireless infrastructure
• Proficiency with dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and route policy engineering
• Cloud networking experience with Azure/AWS; telemetry tools for performance optimization
• Experience leading full lifecycle network engineering and architectural discussions
• Knowledge of NAC and Cisco ISE; security posture tuning
• Strong leadership and communication with executives and cross-functional partners
