Job description

Join to apply for the Senior Network Engineer (Infrastructure) role at Mizuho.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Mizuho Americas' network infrastructure, including WAN, MAN, LAN, WLAN, Proxy, Load Balancing, Firewall, and Proxy components.

Major Responsibilities

1. Drive network improvements and standardization across Data Centers, Campus, and Remote Branch Offices.
2. Plan, stage hardware/software, implement solutions in lab and production, provide post-cutover support, documentation, and user training.
3. Test, debug, analyze performance, and document network components.
4. Manage capacity of network infrastructure.
5. Assist in testing plans for network infrastructure, including functionality, integrity, and stress testing.
6. Ensure network plans integrate effectively with other technical infrastructure.
7. Assist in development and configuration from conceptualization to stabilization.
8. Support network hardware/software installation through product customization and verification procedures.
9. Provide production support for incidents escalated from Network Operations.
10. Deliver network infrastructure for new projects on time and within budget.
11. Create and maintain documentation and diagrams for supported systems.
12. Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical/Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years supporting computer networks in mission-critical environments.
• Ability to support real-time market data and trading in a fast-paced environment.
• Vendor-neutral or vendor-specific certifications and/or training.
• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux OS administration.
• Basic scripting and automation skills.
• Organized, methodical testing skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

The salary ranges from $105k-$175k, based on skills, experience, education, and certifications. Includes benefits and discretionary bonus.
