Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites in the Baltimore area. The role requires strong expertise in TCP/IP, VPNs, and security, with a track record of reducing downtime and supporting business initiatives.

Candidates should have 7+ years in network engineering, a bachelor's degree in IT or related field, and CCNP or equivalent is preferred. U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field required.
7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
Experience managing multi-site networks.
U.S. Person status or government authorization required.
CCNP or equivalent preferred.
Expertise in Cisco or similar networking technologies (routing, switching, firewalls).

Responsibilities

Configure, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites.
Ensure network performance, availability, and security meet organizational standards.
Diagnose and resolve complex network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Provide Tier III support for escalated network problems.
Plan and execute network hardware/software upgrades and migrations.
Deploy and integrate new technologies to optimize network performance.
Implement and enforce network security policies, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and operational documentation.
Prepare reports on network health, capacity planning, and incident resolution.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as needed.
