Job summary

PEMCO is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, build, and support PEMCO's network and the connected infrastructure across data centers, WAN, wireless, and cloud. The role leads projects, mentors peers, and ensures high availability and security.

You will manage Cisco routing/switching/firewalls, virtualization platforms, load balancers, and Azure networking, collaborating with Information Security and vendors. A strong background in enterprise networks and cloud integrations is required.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in CS/IS or related field.
• 5+ years supporting enterprise network environments (Cisco routing, switching, firewalls, IPSec VPN, ISE).
• 3+ years virtualization platforms (Nutanix AHV or VMware vSphere).
• 2+ years enterprise load balancers (F5 preferred).
• 2+ years private/public cloud integrations (Azure, SaaS, IaaS).
• 2+ years wireless network platforms and integrations.
• Experience with backup/recovery/disaster recovery platforms (Veeam).
• 1 year enterprise monitoring/alerting for network/infrastructure.
• Certs: CCNP, Nutanix NCP, Azure AZ-700 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, data center, wireless, firewalls, VPN, cloud).
• Support virtualization platforms and cloud integrations including Azure networking.
• Provide front-line support and act as escalation point for Service Desk and operations.
• Lead infrastructure projects from design through handover and mentor others.
• Document procedures, runbooks, diagrams and IP records.
• Lead Cisco-based infrastructure and services; support private/public cloud tech.
• Perform data center hands‑on work like racking and cabling.
• Ensure security standards in partnership with InfoSec and manage changes.
