Job summary

Alpha Omega in Arlington, VA seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and support secure, resilient networks across on‑premises, virtualized, and cloud deployments. The role requires DHS Public Trust EOD, US citizenship, and a preference for Secret clearance or higher; hybrid work with onsite presence twice weekly within commuting distance of the National Capital Region.

You will design LAN/WAN, apply QoS and bandwidth controls, manage firewalls and VLANs, maintain encryption in transit,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with network focus.
• Juniper certifications or equivalent; JNCIP preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on with routers, switches, and firewalls in diverse environments.
• Experience securing edge/IoT and enterprise networks.
• Experience with data center cross-connects and peering.

Responsibilities

• Design LAN/WAN to support high-speed data transmissions.
• Implement QoS and bandwidth controls for critical apps.
• Maintain end-to-end encryption for data in transit.
• Manage firewalls, ZTNA, and VLAN segmentation.
• Configure and maintain network switches and Wi‑Fi networks.
• Collaborate with vendors/ISPs to troubleshoot routing and plan upgrades.
