Job summary

ConglomerateIT in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Network Design Engineer to design, implement, troubleshoot, and modernize large-scale enterprise networks across offices, data centers, and transportation facilities.

The role emphasizes SD-WAN, cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure), and security, with automation using Python, Ansible, APIs, and Terraform. You will collaborate with carriers and vendors to ensure robust global connectivity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise network engineering and network design experience.
• 3-
• Strong experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, VRFs, HSRP, STP, QoS, multicast, and route redistribution.
• Hands-on with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and ACI; enterprise cloud networking in AWS and Azure.
• Experience with network security, VPN/IPSec, ACLs and firewalls.
• Experience with network automation using Python, Ansible, APIs, and/or Terraform.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, architecture, and technical design skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize large-scale LAN/WAN networks using BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and related protocols.
• Develop High-Level and Low-Level designs, standards, and configuration guides.
• Plan capacity, performance, lifecycle management, and modernization of network infrastructure.
• Support WAN/SD-WAN environments including MPLS, Ethernet, Internet, and dark fiber.
• Troubleshoot latency, packet loss, jitter, routing, and carrier issues.
• Collaborate with carriers and vendors on circuit design, provisioning, and troubleshooting.
• Design and support Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, and ACI data center environments.
• Design connectivity between on-premises environments and AWS/Azure via Direct Connect/ExpressRoute/VPN.
• Develop network automation using Python, Ansible, APIs, and Terraform.
• Maintain accurate network inventory and CMDB information.
• Prepare MOPs, implementation/test plans, rollback procedures, diagrams, and documentation.
