Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a senior network engineer to design, implement and manage secure corporate networking across a global footprint. You will own core network infrastructure, mentor engineers, and collaborate with security, engineering and IT teams to support critical business initiatives.

You will design multi-region WAN/LAN, VPNs, and cloud integrations while maintaining high availability and leveraging automation so the network scales with Airwallex’s growth.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience designing, implementing and maintaining Juniper and Palo Alto solutions.
• Global, multi-vendor networking experience including Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco and Aruba.
• Experience with networking for mainland China and international connectivity.
• Strong fundamentals in Wi‑Fi technology; hardware experience with Juniper Mist, Cisco Meraki or Aruba.
• Expert CLI across networking hardware and vendors, including JunOS and IOS.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting complex corporate network environments.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to move quickly and make sound decisions with incomplete information.

Responsibilities

• Build the foundations of Airwallex’s corporate network and shape the team structure and capabilities.
• Design, deploy and maintain secure, highly available LAN, WAN, wireless and VPN infrastructure across global offices and regions.
• Design multi-region hybrid network patterns connecting offices, data centres and cloud environments (AWS, Alibaba Cloud).
• Configure and operate routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and wireless access points.
• Own CorpNet as a first responder and escalation point for network incidents; drive resolution and post-incident reviews.
• Partner with CorpSec, ProdSec, Eng, IT teams to integrate network solutions and support business initiatives.
• Mentor and coach network engineers; drive knowledge sharing and talent development.
• Participate in global follow-the-sun on-call rotation for corporate networking, with occasional after-hours work.
