Qualifications

• Eight years of relevant experience required.
• Extensive IP network design and scalable BGP routing.
• Understanding of Data Center architecture including CLOS Fabric and overlay tech like VXLAN/EVPN.
• Experience managing multi-vendor environments (Juniper, Cisco, Arista) and routing platforms (BIRD, FRR, Cumulus).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Akamai's global network infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain core network configuration templates using Jinja2.
• Implement new hardware platforms and features within the automation framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data models and requirements.
• Serve as SME for complex network issues, conducting deep-dive troubleshooting and analysis.
