Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) seeks a Network Engineer at Virginia Beach to manage enterprise WAN/LAN, design and implement network solutions, and ensure security compliance across data centers and remote sites.

You will lead deployment, troubleshoot complex issues, mentor junior staff, and participate in an on-call rotation, with a strong focus on Cisco technologies and a secure, scalable network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in network engineering or related IT field.
• Experience with Cisco Enterprise networks and data centers.
• Certifications required or to be obtained within 6 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead network deployment, testing, and optimization.
• Maintain security and integrity of network hardware/software.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support and incident response.
