Job summary

Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support enterprise network modernization, automation, and management of large-scale multi-vendor environments. This position is 100% onsite at Norfolk, VA or Jacksonville, FL.

The Network Engineer will administer, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure and network management platforms while driving automation, performance optimization, and reliability initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or related fields.
• Experience with multi-vendor networks (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Brocade).
• Strong scripting and automation experience: Python, PowerShell, YAML, Ansible.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Onsite work in Norfolk, VA or Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure and Network Management Systems (NMS) platforms.
• Develop and maintain network automation solutions utilizing Python, PowerShell, YAML, and Ansible.
• Manage network configuration, provisioning, lifecycle administration, and performance optimization across multi-vendor environments.
• Support firewall administration, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and automated policy enforcement initiatives.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and collaborate with distributed engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
