Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Senior IT Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across campus and Internet connectivity.

The role requires deep experience with Juniper and Cisco devices, TCP/IP, and network security disciplines, with mentoring responsibilities for junior staff and collaboration across IM teams to deliver complex projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Network Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Deep knowledge of network hardware and infrastructure including transport, devices and monitoring tools.
• 3–5 years with Juniper/Cisco in a complex enterprise environment; strong communication and project management skills.

• Develops and manages complex projects related to network infrastructure.
• Mentors and develops the network skills of junior staff.
• Establishes roadmaps, standards, and maintains network infrastructure documentation.
