Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Senior IT Network Engineer to design, implement and support enterprise network infrastructure across campus and the Internet.

You will mentor junior staff, manage complex projects, and collaborate with Information Security and Compliance teams to ensure robust network security and performance. This role requires strong TCP/IP, Juniper/Cisco expertise, and wireless/data center experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS or IT or related field preferred.
• Deep knowledge of network hardware and protocols; TCP/IP and OSI mastery.
• Experience with Juniper and Cisco in an enterprise setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support enterprise network infrastructure.
• Mentor junior staff and develop network tech skills.
• Establish roadmaps and standards for network assets.
• Coordinate with security/compliance and vendors on needs.
