Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of professional network engineering experience in enterprise or DoW environments.
• Expert-level knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, subnetting, ACLs, and segmentation.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst 9300/9500, Nexus/NX OS, and ISE; TACACS+ knowledge.
• Strong experience with network security architectures and cyber compliance.
• Onsite work in Tampa, FL with up to 25% travel; TS/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and maintain advanced Layer 2/Layer 3 network infrastructures across campus, data center, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Lead deployment and lifecycle management for Cisco Catalyst 9300/9500 platforms, Nexus/NX OS switching, and network segmentation strategies.
• Own routing design, traffic engineering, IP schema development, and network resilience planning; drive modernization toward data center-optimized or leaf-spine architectures.
• Architect and administer enterprise 802.1X authentication using Cisco ISE; design and maintain TACACS+, RADIUS, AD/LDAP integrations.
• Lead networking design and integration for VMware ESXi/vCenter environments; oversee multi-tier connectivity for applications, storage, and virtual infra.
• Enforce security controls and DoD compliance (STIGs, RMF, FIPS) and manage secure boundary architectures.
• Collaborate with teams, mentor engineers, review code/configuration, and support architectural planning.
