Job summary
Trace Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support LAN/WLAN/WAN operations at Fort Sam Houston, TX. You will enhance security, support DoD and DHA compliance, and coordinate with the NetMOD Network Standards Team to meet regional directives.
The role requires DoD-related certifications, DoD Health Care Information Systems experience, and proficiency across TCP/IP, routing, switching, and related protocols. On-site work with potential travel to supported sites is expected.
Qualifications
- Active US Government clearance required.
- US citizenship required.
- DoD 8570.01 Level III (IAM) certification or equivalent.
- CCNP and CISSP certifications required.
- Experience with DoD Health Care Information Systems.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain LAN/WLAN/WAN security for DoD and MTF environments.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS.
- Provide written recommendations for network changes and improvements.
- Document network changes via tickets and standards.
- Evaluate vendor products for DoD/regional requirements.
- Develop LAN/WAN procedures ensuring DoD/DHA compliance.
- Communicate status updates to customers.
