Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking a skilled network engineer for MacDill AFB, FL, supporting GSM-O II and JCSE teams. The role focuses on new capability requirements, design assessments, and hands-on engineering, with Tier III support across enterprise networks and RMF compliance.

The candidate will design, test, and implement IGP/EGP/MPLS configurations, ensure secure, optimized routing, and provide technical briefings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of relevant experience with a BS degree or 2-6 years with a Master’s.
• Current DoD 8140 (8570) IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+).
• CCNP Enterprise certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier III routing and switching support, designing, testing, and implementing IGP, EGP, MPLS, VRF, and NFV/Service Chaining to meet security, performance, and operational requirements.
• Optimize end-to-end network performance across LAN, WAN, CAN, SAN and data center.
• Assist government customer in deriving design objectives, technical specs, performance requirements, and interoperability standards.
• Ensure system design adheres to DoD standards, RMF cybersecurity requirements, and related policies.
• Develop presentations to stakeholders outlining gaps, requirements, objectives, and solution architecture.
• Prepare briefs, papers, and spreadsheets to meet customer requirements.
• Analyze how operational, functional, and performance requirements will be met during design, testing, and implementation of initial capabilities.
