Job summary

Global Communications Services seeks an experienced Network Operations/Engineering Specialist to support HQ CLIENT and AFCEC remote locations. Responsibilities include planning, troubleshooting, network analysis, and implementing security measures for mission-critical systems.

The role requires DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and hands-on experience with network devices, servers, and VoIP. Candidates must be able to manage complex projects across several sites and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• 4 positions in Lackland, TX
• 1 position in Tyndall, FL
• 1 position in Massachusetts
• Understanding of interconnectivity of fiber optics, coaxial and copper networks, LANs and data circuits for WAN/telecoms including VoIP and videoconferencing
• Active DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II and Microsoft/Unix/Cisco industry standards maintaining status
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience with network monitoring tools
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience configuring and maintaining file servers
• Candidate shall have an active Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Operate network management and patch/system management
• Install/configure/network and performance monitoring
• Provide security analysts support and facilitate next-tier support
• Monitor routers/switches at remote CLIENT locations for connectivity
• Provide education and training for infrastructure technicians and CSTs
• Manage projects for 10+ major initiatives annually
